This statuesque amaranth is a beauty in the garden with tall flowerstalks of peachy-bronze coloration. It grows very well in the garden and is very easy to get established and will readily self seed if permitted. A common plant in Central America where it’s been part of the cuisine since 4000 BC. Hot biscuits makes a perfect cut flower. The seeds are eaten as a cereal grain and ground into flour, popped over heat like popcorn and made into confection or used for sprouts. The leaves are also eaten like spinach which is also the way some Asian countries use it. Plants are very large so plan to provide sufficient space. A few plants go along way. Packet contains 20 seeds.
